Playgroups:
 
Playgroups are open to ALL families with a child(ren) 0-3 years of age.  Playgroups will be meeting at local libraries, parks, community centers, churches, etc. and give families an opportunity to connect with other families. 
 
Early Steps is excited to announce:
 Playgroups are now forming in your area!
 


Playgroups provide Caregivers the opportunity:

To Socialize with families that can relate to what you're experiencing
To Gain Information on community resources
To Find Support from other parents and caregivers
To Exchange Ideas and Solutions to the many challenges that arise
 
Playgroups offer Children the opportunity:

To Participate in Group Play

To Take Part in Activities that help to stimulate development

Prader-Willi Syndrome Awareness Month: MAY 
According to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association's website, PWS is a complex genetic disorder that typically causes low muscle tone, short stature, incomplete sexual development, cognitive disabilities, problem behaviors, and a chronic feeling of hunger that can lead to excessive eating and life-threatening obesity.  Estimates show the syndrome in 1 of every 15,000 individuals.
